Publications

Jakob Lotta’s publishing practice spans multimedia works that challenge ageist attitudes through material research and age ambiguity. In 2024, he founded love aiDS; art anthologies, an ongoing forcefield of films, prints, music, and unbound publications that draw from age-coded materialities—childhood objects, obsolete technologies, queer archives, and intergenerational encounters—to expose how age is organized, policed, and misread. The project positions publishing as an active method of resistance, producing unfinished, iterative works that confront the cultural legacies of HIV/AIDS, the politics of aid, and the structures that render certain lives disposable.
